Our vision is to have a healthy, happy and connected South Beach community.
Our mission is to promote our neighbours’ interests; to establish, grow and improve our community’s well-being and foster recreational, cultural and arts activities.
Currently we are working hard to change the suburb name of ‘North Coogee’ to ‘South Beach’ and ‘Port Coogee’ respectively. We have received overwhelming support for this project; if you live or own in North Coogee we need your signature!
Previously we worked with the City of Cockburn to improve lighting and pedestrian access on Rollinson Rd, to install our AILA-award winning awesome bike track in Barrow Park, and we have had successful community planting days with both the CoC and City of Fremantle.
We continue to campaign for improvements to road infrastructure, especially the intersection of Rollinson and Cockburn Roads.
Any other ideas? Please let us know!
Since early 2017 we are an incorporated community group and with feedback from our neighbours have developed a framework of what we want to achieve. If you’re interested in finding out more of what we do, please have a read of our strategic plan.
We are always keen to hear from our neighbours about how they would like to become involved and help shape and improve our community. Please feel free to contact us with your suggestions.
